How To Maintain Your DIY Lash Extensions

Updated: Oct 21, 2021

Caring for your lashes properly will make them last longer, keep their shape, and stay healthy. With the proper care and maintenance of your HerrLash segments, you will be able to get at least 3 uses per set.

Things To Do

When applying your HerrLash segments make sure to follow all instructions properly.

Ensure you apply your lash segments on clean lashes.

DIY lash extensions should be cleaned daily using a lash extensions shampoo. A small amount of diluted baby shampoo also acts as a great tear-free cleanser. Saturate a clean mascara spoolie and pull through lashes, pat dry.

Removing your lashes gently is a very important step to maintaining your HerrLash segments. When removing, use a dual-phase eye makeup remover. Place your lashes back in the case until you are ready to clean your lashes for reuse.

Cleaning for Reuse

To clean your lashes for reuse, they will need to be soaked in 95% or higher isopropyl alcohol. Once your lashes have soaked for at least 15 minutes, gently remove them from the alcohol and place on a light colored lint-free sheet. Gently rub your lash cleaning wand along the lash band to remove the adhesive. Once the adhesive is removed, use a mascara wand to brush them, and place them to the side to dry.

If you will not be applying your lash segments right away, they will need to be stored properly to avoid any damage. Our HerrLash containers are designed in a way that allows you to place your lash segments back on the adhesive strip on the lash card.
